Kyu Kyu Kyu no Kyuara-chan

This is a 22-page long mini series about the side character in PPPC, Kyuara. The art is still by Hina. I can't properly translate these because there is no furigana and I can't read a lot of kanji, but I will put what I can read/understand under each image.

Kyuara is introducing herself as a friend of Piyoko's, and she says "I'll tell you about my favorite thing... 'keme'!" Piyoko is like "what'sat?" and I don't get what's going on next. xD

Kyuara explains by "keme", she's talking about Shousa (Major). Piyoko is like "Wow you really like him, huh?" Kyuara's mentions that they released a new BGGD product, and holds up a Piyoko doll (she is unaware that Piyoko, her classmate, and Piyoko, the new female member of the BGGD, are the same person). She is angry because Piyoko (who she doesn't know is Piyoko) is a member of the BGGD and she is not. xD She holds up a knife and goes, "What's the matter, Pyocola-chan?" Piyoko is just like "omgwhut o_o"

Kyuara and Piyoko decide to talk home together. Piyoko offers for Kyuara to go over to her house, but Kyuara sees a poster for new BGGD products and says "Pyocola-chan, let's go to the store!" Piyoko protests, "But, what about our homework (I think)..." Kyuara hits her with a fan. >_>;;

Kyuara and (an unwilling) Piyoko walk up to an employee, and Kyuara asks for "puremia (what is that?? o_O) goods", and the employee says they're all out. Kyuara gets all bummed out. Then the next day, she explains "Look, I got the stuff on an auction~!" and Piyoko is worked on her late homework. xD; Poor dear.

Piyoko exclaims, "Wow, did Kyuara-chan make all these dolls?" And Kyuara is like "yup, *insert babbling here that I don't care to translate*" Piyoko reaches for another doll, saying, "Oh, it's Piyo... errr, no, the girl member of the BGGD?" And it's ugly. XD And Piyoko is like "What's up with this doll?! D:" Kyuara is like, "Looks just like her, right~?" Piyoko is just like "....Is that so.... o_o"

Rik says something like "Today we're making an appearance for our fans!" And Piyoko sees Kyuara and gets all like "=A=...;;;;" Rik goes, "Seems like there was a lot of energy, huh?" Piyoko is upset about something, but I can't understand it. xD

Kyuara is squealing about Major and how cool it is to see the PKO live. Coo sticks his tongue out at Piyoko and Piyoko is like "Ugh what the heck". XD But Kyuara get all blushy and squeals, "Major smiled at meee~~~!" And Piyoko goes "Eeeehh? o_o; But... that wasn't a smile..."

Kyuara says "Let's buy some of the life concert's goods~" And Piyoko is amazing by how many fangirls there are. Kyuara exclaims something that makes all the people go away (I dunno what xD) and Piyoko goes "That's even more amazing and powerful than my mouth bazooka...."

Kyuara is talking about cosplaying with Piyoko tomorrow, and she's decided to cosplay as "that girl" (referring to... the BGGD's Piyoko). The next day, they're both dressed the same, and Piyoko goes, "Is this no good? D:"

For Christmas, Kyuara asks Santa for "lots of BG goods". Her parents are reading her letter, and are all "What's BG? Is that like a...?" So the next day, Kyuara wakes up and gets... a bra. XD

Kyuara says to herself that today was when more BGGD goods were supposed to be released. She goes to check her piggy bank. In the third panel, it shows it all smashed with an arrow pointing to it that says "costed 600 yen" and on the table is "621 yen", so that's barely enough to cover buying a new bank. XD Ohp.

Kyuara says she and Piyoko are cosplaying again. The next day, it shows Kyuara dressed as Piyoko and Piyoko as Major (LOOKIT HOW CUTE SHE IS xDDD) and Kyuara gets angry and says "this is weird..."

Kyuara says she will answer a question about one of her secrets. Piyoko asks about why Piyoko's a panda, but Kyuara's a bear. Kyuara says something I don't get. xD

Kyuara talks about being tall, and Puchiko says something about the 4-koma. xD Not very amusing.

Kyuara is excited about some doujin about Major and calls Piyoko over to make a doujin with her. Piyoko says "This is hard..." And I dunno what's going on after that. XD I think she gets sick. But I must note that Kyuara's mom has the word "mom" on her face. o.o XD

Piyoko comes over to see if Kyuara's cold is all right. Kyuara is all weird and probably drugged. XD She sees Piyoko as being all blurry and thinks it's Major, so she gets all happy. o_O;;;;; Piyoko is like "Stop it, it's me!!!!"

Kyuara is rushing to see a PKO concert (this girl is worse than I am D: ) and she shouts for Piyoko to run faster. I have no clue what's up with the last two panels. XD

I think Kyuara's at a convention. She's arguing with another fangirl about, I think, whether Ky or Coo is better. o.o Or do they mean as a pairing? o_O;;; I dunno. And Piyoko comes up and says, "I thought both of them liked the girl (referring to herself XDD) ^^" Kyuara just punches her. xD

Whoa. xD I think Kyuara's dreaming about living with the BGGD? xDDDD And Ky is a woman. o.o XDDDDD Aaaaand, it's just weird. She wakes up and gets upset because it wasn't real. xD

Kyuara's standing in front of a poster and making up voices for the boys, pretending she's with them, and she goes "Waa, thank you, everyone pyu ..... It's not real pyu.... *collapse*"

Piyo Piyo Piyoko-chan?

Piyo Piyo Piyoko-chan is a spinoff series by Hina (who also did Leave It To Piyoko). It is, unfortunately, only in Japanese at this time. It was serialized in a Bimonthly (and Quaterly at times too, it seems?) magazine called "Comi Deji" (or Comic Di Gi Charat). After about a year, it was compiled into the first manga (released 2005). The magazine, which seems to have finished serializing the entire series, has yet to compile a volume two. I presume that it will be released this year?

Plot-wise, it seems to take place a couple of years prior to the current Di Gi Charat storyline, in an "Evil Prep School", where Piyoko is studying to follow the path of evil. School is hard considering that she seems to constantly mess up in class, and her "best friend", Coo, keeps picking on her!

After hearing about the Black Gema Gema Gang (whom she has yet to meet) on a news report, Kyuara (a classmate and friend of Piyoko's) is surprised that Piyoko doesn't know who they are. She explains that they're Planet Analogue's best "evil" gang (although... we all know they're far from "evil" XP) and she gushes on about how cool they are and how she's a big fan of Major-san (who neither realizes is Coo... and he also attends the school.)

On the way from school, Piyoko finds herself lost in a dark alleyway and freaks out. But upon spotting a piece of candy... followed by another, and another... she finds her way out and sees a building that she comments she never noticed (I think it's the BGGG's hideout?). Then a shadow catches her eye... and she sees a young man watching her from the fence. She asks him if he had left the candy to help her, but he runs off.

The next day, she tells eagerly tells Kyuara all about the incident and "okashi no michi annai-san" (or "Candy Guidance on the Street-san" o_O) and how she wishes she knew his name. Kyuara suddenly thinks of something and shows Piyoko her poster of the Black Gema Gema Gang and Piyoko is shocked to see that the Lieutenant (Ky) looks like the man on the street because of his glasses. She wants to meet him, so using some outside sources, Kyuara comes to find that they're supposed to meet at the school at 10 o'clock that night. So the two girls sneek into the school to meet them.

But nothing happens... and they get caught by the school janitor, Rik (the BGGG's General), and he asks them to go home. Disappointed, they leave, but Piyoko turns around, and Kyuara's gone. Scared to be alone in the dark, she panics, and it gets worse when a wolf (dog? I'm not sure...) attacks her. She begins to cry and braces for the worst, but she looks up and sees the Black Gema Gema Gang... and they've come to rescue her! Amazed by how cool they are, she gets all blushy and excited, but that's quickly interrupted by the Major... who pushes her closer to a wolf to deliberately scare her. On the verge of tears, she angrily exclaims that that was a mean thing to do, and he shoots back, "Scared? How weak."

Completely offended, Piyoko starts thinking that the gang isn't nearly as cool as she thought, but the polite Lieutenant scolds the Major and asks Piyoko to forgive his rude nature.

The three boys begin to leave, taking the wolves with them, and Piyoko wonders if the Lieutenant really is "okashi no michi annai-san". When one of the wolves starts to become aggressive, Piyoko becomes scared for them and says to herself that if he really was the person who helped her that night, then she had to help him. With some effort, she musters her special attack... and exclaims "kuchi kara bazooka~!!"

After the great explosion, the wolves run away and the boys are in awe of her strength. They offer her a position on the team, and the Major admits that she was impressive after all.

And that's how the story starts out. But that not all; over the course of the manga, Piyoko muses over her feelings for Coo, feels jealousy of Kyuara for seemingly being his favorite, gets into various arguments with the boy, goes on pointless missions with the Black Gema Gema Gang, and ends up punished many, many times by her strict teacher. Who is "okashi no michi annai-san"? Why does Major-san remind her so much of Coo? Who is "the person she likes most"?

Hina's art is adorable, and even with my limited Japanese, I love the manga to bits. You can buy volume one here.

Drama?

There's a drama CD based on this series. I regret to say that I can't find it for purchase anywhere in America (I SWEAR, IF YOU OWN IT, I WILL BUY IT FROM YOU. EMAIL ME.), but here's what I've found out about it after extensive searching of Japanese websites. |D;;;

The Drama is called “Piyo Piyo Piyoko-chan [Shutsudou! Black Gema Gema Dan]”. Shutsudou means “move”. I don’t exactly understand why it’s called that, but... anyway. It has six tracks. The first five are just “Part one”, “Part two”, etc. The sixth track is a voice message.

When I translated the Drama’s description on a website, it said: “’Quarterly fall’ the mark item, from here Piyoko and because of BG, main angle.” I’m assuming that it’s talking about Piyoko and her gang being the main characters.

Kyuara’s seiyuu in it is a lady named Hirota Shion, who apparently also does Aqua in Di Gi Charat Nyo. Otherwise, she seems to be a relatively new (or just not very prolific) seiyuu.

And... that's pretty much all. *blink* o3o;; The whole series is very PiyokoxCoo-centric (mucho love to Hina for her constant PiyoCoo fluff >D). I wish they would hurry up and release the next volume. xD
